| Above: Sheri used 16-18" square limestone travertine floor tiles as a 'canvas' to paint her art pieces shown here; the honed limestone has a perfect tooth for painting. She used some readily available historical designs cut from our SayWhat? adhesive masking film, and stenciled with Proceed Slow Drying Acrylics. Real gold leaf was adhered to the stone on the dragon and bird set with Proceed Crackle Size and was then sealed. We had metal frames cut to size, which perfectly accommodated the tiles. |

| Resources: Custom cut Stencil masks available from SayWhat? Many styles are available, and can be custom sized to fit almost any space, please contact us. Proceed Slow Dry Acrylics available from The Mad Stencilist. Travertine Limestone: these were seconds from a local tile store. Small chips made them unsuitable for flooring, but they work perfectly well re-purposed for this application. Metal Frames from warehouseframers.com |
